Extraordinary Supplier : Designer Bowen Dryden
For followers of my blog, you'll know that I always bring you the unusual, the unique and the quirky. When searching for designers to bring to your attention, there's no exception, to this rule. I like to find the more creative , edgy and artistic. Sharon Bowen Dryden certainly fits the bill. Her gowns and seperates are nothing short of works of art, with soft palettes of colour and textured fabrics, this lady really knows how to dress the female form to accentuate pure beauty.
Speaking with Sharon she tells me:
After attaining a degree in fashion and illustration, I started work in Paris with my own collection and also worked with the worlds top Haute Couture design houses. Having been mentored by Francois Lesage in embroidery and surface texture, enabled me to bring high end embellishments to my collections today. I specialise in individually designed Gowns for brides and mother of the bride/ groom and have two ready to wear bridal collections, stocked in quirky boutiques Worldwide. Being wild at heart, I am always striving to bring fresh and new ideas for the contemporary, modern bride.
I started my business years ago when all gowns were influenced by the Lady Di phenomenon. I was to marry myself and trawled around endless boutiques to be faced with a sea of ivory. In despair I decided to make my own, in Gold metallic lace, and ta dah the enquiries flooded in. And so I started by making alternative coloured Gowns, and still do. My collections are all in colour.
I love what I do .as I am brave enough to ignore the norm, look to fashion and `do my own thing` creating beautiful works of art.
Sharon Bowen-Dryden is a world-leading Haute Couture fashion designer, who is well established in the bridal industry. She is renowned for designing distinctive, innovative bridal collections and for creating unique and exclusive bridal gowns for individual clients.
